While amassing more than 20 years of experience in various aspects of technology, design, and information strategy and management, Rodney White is a senior business executive driven by an overarching personal mission: use technology, design, and informatics for the greater good of humanity and change the world.
White is the founder, and chief accelerator of The Acceleration Agency, which specializes in leveraging the OODA loop, an innovative and accelerative conceptual framework for business, technology and marketing strategies,and practical process improvement. The Acceleration Agency concentrates on socially responsible companies and the non profit sector.
White’s mission also led him to the Lance Armstrong Foundation in 2005, where he served a critical role in enabling the Lance Armstrong Foundation to fulfill its mission to inspire and empower people affected by cancer. White’s work of pragmatic vision and strategic leadership at the Lance Armstrong Foundation earned him the recognition of CIO Magazine which honored him and his team with a coveted 2006 CIO100 Award. The award recognizes White's innovative approach to operational excellence, integration, automation, change management, and the total re-engineering of the Lance Armstrong Foundation’s business and organizational processes of their CRM, eCommerce system, fulfillment services, external lock-box service, online experiences, and other constituent services during and after the peak of the LIVESTRONG® wristband campaign where over 58 million wristbands have been sold worldwide to date. White provides tried and true strategic and tactical direction due to his in-the-trenches low level technology implementation knowledge.
In addition to his work at the Lance Armstrong Foundation, White continues to consult with other organizations with his strategic consulting firm. Prior to joining the Lance Armstrong Foundation, White served as Director of Software at Human Code, Inc., a legendary Austin-based software development company. While at Human Code, White managed, engineered, or produced more than 200 multi-million dollar award-winning and top selling business-to-business and business-to-consumer software titles and Websites for clients such as Mattel, Hasbro, Disney, Scholastic, Leap Frog, Dell, and AMD.
Accomplishments:
- Created and launched (still in private beta), with collaboration of the LIVESTRONG Centers of Excellence Network, the first-ever free and open to all medical institutions a post treatment informatics system to deliver a standards-based set of treatment information and risk mitigation strategies to cancer survivors and their caregivers to aid in the translation from cancer patient to survivor.
- Developed an award winning viral make-your-own video marketing campaign.
- Rescued, created and implemented the new LIVESTRONG eCommerce, fulfillment and supply chain system capable of sustaining over $1m per day and sold almost $60m within 18 months of launch.
- Complete re-engineering of the Lance Armstrong Foundation infrastructure, internal and external CRM and Finance, Operational processes, to manage and market to the 2.5 million constituents gained from the LIVESTRONG wristband campaign.
- Complete re-engineering of the Lance Armstrong Foundation CMS to deploy the new LIVESTRONG resource for cancer survivors.
- Created and implemented an award winning, CIO 100, innovative SOA solution to manage the data flow and automation of all the 10 plus million interactions and transactions to build a real-time enterprise.
- Developed two number one selling shrink-wrapped consumer software titles during back-to-back holiday seasons.
- Managed a team of over 50 software engineers (C++, Java, Flash, and Front-end engineers)
- Deployed BPM and CRM solution to manage and automate constituent relations and internal business processes while yielding an annual cost savings of at least $1m per year.
- Deployed an enterprise BPM solution to manage and automate internal business processes yielding an annual ROI of at least 200%.
